Last run this morning, just a 3 mile jog to keep it all ticking over.
Been suffering from back pains this last two weeks, Chiropracter assures me all this running can't make it any worse and strangely enough the pain goes as soon as I start my run, something to do with my sacro illiac.
Really getting excited about the whole weekend, looking forward to meeting all the TLS people and having a long deserved beer Sunday night!
Good luck to all

Monday night and I'm aching, I set out to do 10 miles Sunday but managed to do 13, not sure if that is the right thing to do, training schedules and all that, but it felt good at the time.Slept with a bottle of tonic water next to my bed just in case I got the dreaded midnight cramp. Seems that all the rehydration products from our box of goodies are working a treat.Gentle run Tuesday night is planned and a deep muscle tissue massage later in the week. Had three of these and feel I have new legs!

Great North Run

I run a photographic business in London, my partner, Nicky and I have 2 children, May & Stanley.

I have always been involved in sport, Football, Squash, Golf and of course running.

My only experience in distance running is 10k's which I usually do in 42-44 mins, so therefore I thought double that and add a bit and that's a half marathon.

Oops! It's taking a lot more training than before and I've even given up the grape and grain until the night of the GNR, but only if I'm thirsty.
